Indeed mate. Problem is is that when you have **** tyres they don't grip as well. You can't go round corners as well, but mainly, stopping distances will be vastly increased. This not only puts yourself at risk by going into a brick wall, but other road users too. When your tyres are you main point of contact between you and the road and are responsible for your car actually having traction and being able to move, why would you want to have **** ones?
I can't stand it if I'm in a tyre place and people walk in and say 'I need a new tyre, whatever's the cheapest, I don't care'.
Best decision you could make they will make the world of difference. When my Hankooks are worn enough I'm going back to Goodyear. They made the world of difference to my old Kia Pro_Cee'd Sport and that had 140bhp, so should be great on your 2.0TDI, especially if you do go for that re-map.
