Hi, all I have recently fitted a K04 turbo to my leon now running 330bhp and 330nm torque.
after doing about 600 mile in my car i found the clutch start to slip when putting my foot down in 5th and 6th.
I have been looking around on the forum trying too find out what clutch to get as i don't want it to slip again. i was told by a lot of people to get a SACH uprated clutch and keep the dual mass flywheel.
so after hunting around I found a clutch on ebay from a company called techniclutch also nown as nationwide clutch distributors.
The item stated there clutch is capable of over 480nm of torque which i thought would be ideal for me.
so i received the clutch today and the dmf and slave cylinder look fine in SACH boxes. but the clutch plate was in a white box and looks to be sprayed, indicating its a remanafactured clutch. there is nothing to show its uprated or if it has kevlar friction material.
I contacted the company who supplied it to me and they told be that the clutch is taken away and a carbon kevlar material is put on the clutch.
i really don't know what to do or believe, i spoke to pat at LVS in Lincoln and he said go for it. but after reading yell reviews i really don't know what to do.
It would be great for anyone's input or even anyones experience with techniclutch? Also what torque figures are people running with what clutch??
bare in mind my car has done 900000 miles on the same clutch.
here some links for ebay and yell for the product info and yell reviews.
