i fitted a universal filter (crap i know) at the weekend but i have positioned it down in the front wing of the car by using a extended pipe! i think that the cone itself is to big coz its such a tight fit in the bumper! i was thinking about ordering a green cotten filter! any good?

Also 2day is the 1st day that i have driven me car to work since fitting the induction kit and it proper seems to be drinking me fuel! did any1 else experience this with there induction kit?

Any help would be great!

hiya mate

if i were you i would take off the "universal filter"

you'd prob get a better sound with the standard filter in a drilled airbox! and you would definately have a quicker car than using a universal filter (which will more than likely be losing you power)

a drilled airbox and a k&n panel filter would be a good choice. and not that pricey for only about 35 notes

i have a piperX open cone kit on mine at the moment but to be honest it doesnt give much more of a better sound than my drilled airbox and sports panel filter setup that i ran before, and its not any quicker

basically... ditch the cheap universal filter... sorry to be blunt but i'm just trying to help :)

Difference in fuel intake was very little with the dynatwist, but it will change it as more air means more fuel, meaning more power.

Personally, if i couldnt afford a quality piece of kit for the car, then i'd go without. But thats me.

You dont wanna sit the filter in full air flow that low, as it'll be risking water ingress and it'll get a hell of lot of crap. Also, if its over oiled thenit could cause problems with the maf.

most cone filters are oiled, just to different lengths...even the dynatwist has some form of oil on it i reckon

if i had a second chance...id still get the dynatwist. could go for the hurricane filter if its any cheaper otherwise the dynatwist is spot on jobby
