needing to replace headlight

My car went for MOT and failed on offside headlamp being broken. I slid into the side of a car due to icy road the day before. This has misaligned my bumper.

The headlight itself from what I can see at least isn't cracked. The lights inside all work.
I've been quoted about £165+vat for the headlight unit. This sounds excessive to me mainly because I'm assuming its a broken bracket that is needing to be replaced rather than the whole unit.

Has anyone been in a similar situation in regards to replacing/fixing this unit?

some may say lala land....
i would have asked what made it broken to have made it fail.

breakers or even ebay will be cheaper.
either way round, i'd say your out of luck on the 7day cheaper or 24hr freebie most garages do.

you say both work all ok, so guess it probably is a bracket as is unable to align it correctly.
Do you get flashed more now? if yes drop the electric height down one and see if that helps

I had a look yesterday at the light. Its the two clips on the top that screw it to the chassis. One is completely broken because the headlight has been pushed back by the bumper. So this has probably thrown it out of alignment. The lens/front part is not smashed at all.

Thank for the parts numbers link, I am hoping this will be all it needs, will check it with the garage.
