ive jus fitted the neuspeed 28mm rear arb this week on my LCR's standard suspension set up.. not really had a good play with it yet but giving it some beans last nite round a round about had the back end step out slighty but was easily catchable and was quite fun...and more controllable than the slight understeer i used to get without the rear arb!...you can def tell the rear end stiffer now and im hoping to get the front done in the future jus to stiffen up the front abit more..but dont wanna loose the oversteer completely

Awesome did not fit the ARB and Springs, I had it done locally.

I have just noticed two things I think may be affecting the overall experience and would like your thoughts:

1. The toe was adjusted when I had a full laser alignment on Wednesday after having the work done to the suspension, I have since looked at the result sheet and the title of the sheet suggests it was done on a 2006-07 Leon Cupra, hmm!

2. There seems to be a weird feel in the steering at through the centre position (could easily be caused by point 1 above?), I am starting to think maybe the rack is on its way/come loose/rack bush worn?

I am still looking into the rear ARB as a solution but really want to pin point the problem first.

Thanks,

James

you think theyve set it up as a mark 2? worth ringing a dealer to ask the differences.

people on here have actually has esp issues/ over/understeer just by fitting poor tyres at one end.. seems a sensitive system.

check the alignments within the lcr scale then fit a rear arb. if your still not happy with the handling id try the rear only.

its worth the mucking about.. makes as big a difference to the car as a remap does in terms of improving it

On a side note I only had the front ARB done as the original one was shot. I assumed it would be a good opportunity to upgrade at this point.

I will pop back to the tyre place tomorrow to check the alignment again.

Update:

I replaced the Track Rod Ends on Friday night, then took then car back for another laser alignment (using the correct vehicle details).

The car is much better now. No more scary feel and has returned to its original planted feel.

You can notice the ARB and Springs now, they give the car a more stable platform with much less body roll. As the camber is now more negative due to the slight drop, there seems to be the same amount of understeer as before; so I probably won't go for the rear ARB just yet.

The only downsides are that tramlining seems more apparent and travelling over a bumpy road is quite crashy. I assume that FSD's would be a good option to eliminate this.
