New 2013 Cupra? Still having oil issues???

My boc had a new engine in jan 2012 and still had oil probs
Spec on new one makes me forget all the probs etc Rose tinted glasses anyone lol
I had a late 2010 Cupra which used about a litre of oil every 2000 miles, recently I changed it for the 2013 facelift Cupra which so far hasn't used a drop (2100 miles in)
Overall the new Cupra seems a bit more refined, as if every bolt on the car has been given another quarter twist, and the gearbox seems more responsive perhaps it's the change in software which increases the 0-60 time from 7.2 - 6.9

Good to hear Luke. I'm v tempted to get another one. Spec is a lot better and car is worth it. For me it ticks so many boxes. I have a diesel Vrs octavia and am not having much fun in it lol.

I was about the say the same, pre-FL push quicker than taht anyway standard so i would read into that too much.
I thoguht the FL's were down on standard kit?
Ah so the engines are exactly the same well since the battery got moved to the boot, there's me thinking the facelift cupra had the exact same engine that's in the polo which is a slightly revised version,

They have additional kit, which is reflected in the price. I.e auto lights / wipers and bi xenon & sat nav
Ahh fair play, i didnt reqalise that was standard kit, before it was announced i read they got rid of some features like blue-tooth/cruise control etc from the FL. Can you confirm?
I cant bring myself to like the new one, really dont like the changes they made to the styling and the seats are awful, still a good motor for the money.
The polo book figure is the same as both is it not? and even if the changes are slighty faster were talking 100 th's of seconds which in real life wouldnt be noticable. From what ive read its software, the box itself is exactly the same so it may be possible to do to the pre-fl.
As for oil problems well its been well doncumented, there are lots of cars that have had no issues and some with all sorts, to be fair its an amazing engine for what it is and again won the engine of this year in its class. I wouldnt be suprised if we see the problems start to dwindle as time goes on.
It is still average in the bends? well not average but far from good.

They do come pretty well kitted out as standard now. Xenons, Bluetooth, satnav (portable system), cruise control, climate control, auto lights, auto wipers etc.
While the list price is higher, if you haggle you can pick one up with met paint for about £15.5K which is fair value.

I'm looking at full spec wi the brakes and leather and perhaps the roof. 17,500. Wondering if its worth it.
