The SEAT Ibiza is an icon of the urban hatchback market. First introduced in 1984, it has sold over 6 million units across five generations. The new SEAT Ibiza pushes boundaries, embracing new approaches to inspire a youthful and creative spirit.

The new SEAT Ibiza is shaped by three core pillars: a refreshed exterior, a refined interior, and a strengthened value proposition that makes the Ibiza more compelling than ever.

“The SEAT Ibiza is the brand’s best-selling model in its history, paving the way for SEAT’s success, built in part on the car’s incredible achievements. It remains an icon for the segment, proudly delivering for the customers who look to the Ibiza’s characterful look, strong interior design, fully connected digital approach and efficient engine line-up.”
Markus Haupt, CEO of SEAT

Designed, developed and produced in Martorell, Barcelona, the new SEAT Ibiza will be launched in January 2026...

Yeah it's a good looking facelift and nice to see some new colours!

Thanks for the video. It has made it more modern looking and the same as what was revealed in the Feb 2024 video.

Overall, a bit disappointed not to see larger and high resolution 12" screen from Cupra and assume it is the same as the current one with MIB3?

Interior looks identical less, seat trim as I had hoped for slight refresh. If lack of updates is reflected in price then not too bad. I will look towards the Raval as too similar and glad my daughter went for pre-fl Xcellence DSG now with that trim having been removed. At least refresh won't impact residuals much being so light.

I would of liked to have seen the 1.5 being added to UK FR trim too. New hybrid engines next year will be interesting though.

My immediate reaction was how much the front profile reminds me of the pre-facelift version of the current Vauxhall Corsa; same shape headlamps and the grilles are also very similar. In the metal and side by side, they probably look quite different though.

Sorry, but I think I prefer the current pre-facelift Ibiza to the facelift version…………….🙁, but then we all like different things.

You can have a play on the Spanish configurator to get an idea of colours wheels and overall specs although UK is likely to be different. One interesting point was that DSG is only currently available with the 1.5 in Spain. You can also have a play with the new Arona too.

Fun fact, I was about to make a very similar comment, although I would choose the Ibiza facelift or pre-facelift over the Corsa any day of week 😄

Such a shame we most likely won't see a Cupra version of the Ibiza again.

One upgrade that piqued my interest is the 15w cooled wireless charger. I'd definitely look into that and if technically and physically possible I'd like to retrofit the new charger unit to replace the pathetic one in my Ateca. Shame on Cupra that they didn't bother to put a proper charger in it.

It's refreshing to see the Ibiza maintain it's heritage, too many makeovers become overdressed & aspire to be the model they're not.
As a later owner of the Ibiza, alongside my Leon's, I actually love the little car as it serves it's purpose beautifully, very economical too. I am definitely happy to have both side by side, keeps me fulfilled.
My age old bug though, which luckily is nothing to do with performance, is the typography on the rear (across the SEAT models), I just don't like the italic & I think if they reinstated the block letters, it would look dignified again.😎
Great review, thanks as always Syphon👍

Agree, it has matured over the years and the current one is a very comfortable and fun to drive even with DSG. The 1.0 litre TSI engine is a hoot and adds character to the car. I will most likely go electric next year after experience with our Born and the Raval is top of my list - unless a tempting Ibiza deal pops up again...
