Hi im new to the forum
I have a few issues my fans are not working high speed and low speed gets upton83c and on :help:and still they don't come on
Fuses look good
Also I have no ac press the ac button and nothing happens apart from a rev change ac symbol doesn't even come on
Any advice on these two issues would be great full

Right sorted ac when I turn it on the fans come on fast for 10-15 seconds that's it got up to 93c and fans still not coming on

It seems slow speed doesn't work and high speed only with ac on for 15 seconds
Some one must of come across this

Thankyou buddy is there a better write up with pics and parts needed

No worries and not as far as i know, everything you need to do the job should be in that thread on the first page.

There is a list of the parts needed a few paragraphs down from the top and the pics below that are as good as it gets i think.

Thanks bud any idea could this be the control mod or rad switch

Confirmed today that only high speed fan is running
By testing the rad switch sensor plug so you was spot on mty no just to order bits and try work out what wires to be cutting and where first time doing electrical bodge

mty whats ur name if you dont mind me adding you on fb as i cant post pics on here

So am I right in thing you cut 2 wires one leading to each block and splice 2 wires 1 leading to each block nearest to fans

Hi mate. I'm not on facebook, but you'll be able to post pics once you pass 15 posts on here.

You cut the red and white wire, join one end of the resistor onto that and then splice the other end of the resistor into the red and black wire. The same on each plug.

Have copied the wiring diagram for you.

Thanks mty do u cut closer to fan or closer to control module or does it make no difference

It needs to be somewhere between the connector and the fans, like in the diagram above, and the pic below..... so the fan side of the connector basically.

Don't cut too close to the plug, or it'll be a pain to work with when stripping and soldering the wires. I'd cut and splice in the middle of that wiring in the above pic.

More info in this guide if needed, http://website.lineone.net/~alan.james.lorely/fan mod/Repair.html (it's also where i borrowed the pic above from)
