New and needing some wing mirrors!

Hi chaps, I'm new so firstly hello!

I'm a new owner of a Seat 1.0 2000, and am gradually hating the thing more and more! Oh and my neighbours more and more!

Due to some isues I am now looking for two new wing mirrors, the first one just needs the mirror bit, but the other one needs the whole casing, i.e the bit that actually attaches to the car! But I have no idea where to get them, we've tried looking for Seat Arosa ones but no lucky, heard tell that we can use ones from Lupo's etc, but not a clue!
Can anyone tell me if this is the case, and if so where I can get some cheap! lol, as well as a front driver headlight!

I've also had nowt but trouble since I bought it, has this horrible habit of stalling when it feels like it, and on occasion wont go about 30k revs, only starts going faster again when you go up gear  Just slightly dangerous! But apparently its the sensors, had one replaced, but didnt do the trick so having another one done, which will hopefully fix the problem.

So from what looked like a nice car a few months ago I have now a complete mess! Be grateful if someone could help out!

Thankies!

Most Lupo parts transplant easily over onto the Arosa. So yes the wing mirrors will be a direct fit. Headlights unfortunately aren't as the Lupo has rounded headlights in comparism to the Arosas' more square ones. Try having a look through ebay for these parts, this company have always been quite good for sourcing parts alrthough they can be a little expensive.

Lots of niggles to sort out there - they are only niggles, but all at one they can feel like a bit much I know :D

GG has already explained about the wing mirrors, so I'll help you with the other stuff.

The stalling sounds like a dirty throttle body. It's very common, they get clogged with oil and muck (the engines breathe quite heavily and draw oil up into it) so you'll need to take the air box off and spray some carb cleaner down there. Or if you aren't a confident mechanic a friendly garage should be able to sort you out :)
That might also be a cause of the low rev issue. I'm guessing you meant 3k revs, not 30k, as I'd be worried if you've had it up at 30K

As for the parts, try the usual places - Ebay often has cars breaking, also try emailing/calling round the local breakers yards. It's worth calling SEAT too, as if you only need part of a wing mirror/headlight it may be cheaper than you think.

Thank you chaps, very much appreciated! Thankfully the guy I bought the car off of is replacing the sensor parts free of charge, if the next one doesnt work I might try and persuade him to exchange it for the Clio he has there!

If it works I'll just endeavour with my mission to make it look nice! At least then my friends might stop referring to it as a rollerskate! :D
