New company car

Well, after much hassle my replacement car has finally been ordered. I originally wanted an Octy VRS DSG, but that was vitoed, then the revised car list came out & OMG! . So I've ended up asking for an Altea XL SE with the Technology & Convenience pack in track grey. Car/trim fine, the only bummer is its a 1.9 105. I've got an Altea 2ltr 140 Sport now & the 1.9 105 demonstrator I had for two days was as flat as a pancake by comparison I can see a box of tricks & 30bhp coming!

Well quite!

I could have had an Octy 2ltr 140 but in Elegance trim, okay decent spec, but I'm sorry, any Octavia other than the VRS is a taxi! Tunit box will be fitted to the 1.9 & hopefully all will be okay - well reasonable anyway!

no experience, just can't imagine that 1.9 will be as good as 2.0 even tweaked

Well, I've had it and generally am very pleased. SE with tech/con pack is superb - plenty of toys! Okay, its a bit flat compared to the 2 litre 140 but then that was expected! I doubt if it will stay at 105 (103?) bhp for long tho!

I ordered the same car in October and when it turned up a few weeks ago they had sent me an Altea by mistake and not an XL SE !!!!!

Anyway having to wait until early April for it arrive and am currently amusing myself in a brand new Mazda 3 sport 185 bhp which I have been given as a pool car.

My old car was an Altea 1.9tdi stylance so am used to them but will defo be as flat as a pancake after knocking around in the mazda. Will be sad to see it go for the driving experience but can't wait for the XL to turn up for the kids sake and leg room in the back.

How much would the remap be costing on average ?

Were you able to have the technology & convenience pack? Its superb! Looking at getting a Shark Performance STS jobbie. Google it, ideal for company/leased cars!!! Not the cheapest but you know lease companies, got to be careful!
