Hello from a noob!

I picked up a black cupra today, and all I can say is WOW!!!
I have been driving about all day.(ex demo purchased from Emmer green, 400 miles on the clock and 18.5k, not bad I thought.)
I was very happy with the service from Emmer Green, very knowledgeable salesman.
I am well impressesd with the car, its looks, handaling and power have left me in awe!:D:D
I feel almost embarrassed to say what my previous car was, but here goes - Fiat stilo abarth:redface:. A little under powered, great engine but cack build qaulity.(oh and nightmare electrics)

One quick question is regarding the lights, I was told by the dealer that they are adaptive. I was also shown at the seat dealer in brent cross how the lights move with the steering when the car was stationary.

So far I have not been able to get them to follow the steering. Is there a setting I have missed out, or do they only work in motion?

Thanks in advance.

Proud owner of a Inferi cupra.

Ps. im in greenford, west London so be on the lookout.

I am found in Hounslow and ruislip and at ace cafe when they had the italian nights. I too am ex fiat so know where you are coming from. And welcome.

nice 1 m8.

does the car come with any extras.

is there nothing in the manual? my understanding of the lights was that they move when the steering/wheels move. cupra owners will tell you for definite though.

Only in motion. First thing I did when it got dark outside the day I picked it up. You should be able to see the lights centre up when you first turn on the engine and turn the lights onto 2 clicks.

Thank everyone for a warm welcome.

I will try and get some pics in the next couple of days.

Toaday I was stuck in traffic on the A40 at hanger lane for 40 mins and I was happy as larry!

Next Thurs night if you are able to get down to Ace Cafe (1st Junc off the North Circ) I will be around. Assuming you know where Ace is, might see you there?

Would be nice to meet some local Leon Owners.

Thanks mate, I will certainly try to get to ace, I know where it is.

Hope to see you at ace.

Apparently there was a load of complaints about the compressor / tyre weld arrangement that they provided full size spares. I have one on mine.

Yep, and on any car's that were supplied with the emergency repair were to get a replacement wheel, this is what I was led to beleive.

I too got a space saver, hope it clears the front brakes lol.

i hope you are right.

i ordered in april out of the december 06 brochure (the current one at the time), which stated a spare wheel. however since then many people have had the spray, which i dont particularly want, i can change a wheel ok.
apart from that, if you use the spray your supposed to replace the tyre anyway, and you havee to get a new can of spray!!
cheaper for seat, twice the cost for the punter. :(

I ordered mine in Feb mate and it turned up with the spare wheel. I did test drive another dealers Cupra very early on in March, and that had the tin of tyre weld in it.

the demonstrator i thrashed (i mean tried), had the spray, and i believe they got that car late march.
i hope theyve drawn a line under that cost saver.

Hi, funny you should mention the spare tyre.
It had the tyre weld kit initialy, but they changed it over for a space saver.

Regards.
