i hope you are right.
i ordered in april out of the december 06 brochure (the current one at the time), which stated a spare wheel. however since then many people have had the spray, which i dont particularly want, i can change a wheel ok.
apart from that, if you use the spray your supposed to replace the tyre anyway, and you havee to get a new can of spray!!
cheaper for seat, twice the cost for the punter.![]()
My understanding is if you have 16" alloys you get a 16" spare. (which i have

18" alloys then the spare would not fit in the boot so you get spray.

The spray is meant to allow you to get home or to the nearest garage where you can get the tyre replaced BUT it is only designed for mild punctures.
I got a puncture in my last car while drivin through central London on a sunday noon, went to change the tyre to discover no spare but a spray (nothing to do with size of tyre more to do with tight manufacturer)
Had a rip in tyre wall and the spray was useless, air just came straight out of rip, lucky for me there was a quick fit just down the road.
What if I was in the middle of nowhere late at night - would have been stuffed
I would never buy another car with spray under any circumstance
