New Cupra owner

Hey all,

I am picking up my new (to me) 23 plate Cupra VZ1 245 this Thursday. Cannot wait to get it and a nice little upgrade from my Seat Leon 1.5. Looking forward to getting some ideas of potential mods etc from the forum!

Very nice! Congratulations! I came from a 1.4 Leon to a 245.

If you're looking for ideas for mods I swapped the standard wheels for Racing Line r360s. They are a slightly wider fitment so fill the arches better. Added a Maxton splitter and side skirts too.

Depending on what tyres and tread yours has left I would strongly recommend swapping them out for Michelin pilot sport 4S.. Combined with the lighter wheels they completely changed the way it drives. Also elimated the wheelspin I'd get from the hankooks on anything but a perfectly dry road...

I swapped to a 245 from a 1.4 mk3 and absolutely love it. I’ve since swapped it for another 245 (didn’t get on with silver) upgrade so far is the wheels and a racing line stage one will happen when the warranty runs out next year.

That looks smart! I am thinking to start Id like to look at a splitter, skirts and extended wing. I quite like the OEM plus look. Not sure ill change wheels just yet. May look at wind deflectors too. Just cant wait to get it now

I was wondering if anyone has the same issues that I have ? I have had new Seat Leons for 13 years and picked up a new Cupra Leon V1 150 in October 2024, The Car is fantastic but the telephone controls on the steering wheel do not work. My car has been in to the dealer 5 times for them to try and sort the problem . I am told that the software needed to correct this problem is not yet available. After 10 months My patience is starting to wear thin. Does anyone else have this problem ?
