I'm thinking of having this done as i have another bumper here to be resprayed and the centre section of it also. Was thinking of cutting and spraying the centre section gloss black first and then fitting the diffuser on top. I would be changing my exhaust to a full miltek.

Anyone clarify how much the Cupra R rear diffuser is from the dealers? SERE if possible... or just a general price?

I would like to thank you all for your comments but thankfully I can proudly report Ted Johnson's of Barnsley can fit this to a TDI, even if they did reach a few problems in doing so :D

My new beast btw:

that looks wicked.

I wondered what they look like on a black leon.

Have you got anymore pictures of it pal?

Dropped my diffuser at the local bodyshop today, hes painting it then I am visiting next friday morning to have it fitted. He will do the cutting necessary when I get there. This has turned into a very expensive job though for me as I opted to go for a new full system.

Diffuser - £165
Paint and Fitting - £120
New exhaust including fitting (3" turbo back exhaust system) - £800
Revo Stage 2 and Rolling Road - £122

Total Cost of my christmas present :) - £1200

I was going to just get a cat back but decided it was christmas so thats what I am spending my xmas bonus on. You can get a custom cat back system made for 400 fitted but I have gone to this jap place called car planet near mine, showroom full of new m3's, gt-r's and evos. He was showing me his drag car, stripped out evo running 1180bhp :/ had a massive cone filter sticking out of the grill... Ridiculous

I've seen this part too (ZGB1P1071001) to cover up the paint colour around the high level brake light when using the rear facelift spolier (1P9071650D)

Sorry if this has already been mentioned

Is this like a seal that goes around the 3rd brake light and up against the spoiler for if you spray it a different colour to the rest of the body work, like in the pic white car with black spoiler?

Anyone any pics of this part and whist it looks like fitted?

I asked Tristan @ TJ about this part and he said it is a blanking plate for the brake light?

You can see the white original paintwork around the high level brake light on mine, which i wish was black. Maybe it can be vinyled somehow?

Hi there think i was around £170, hope your not going to tell me you can get them cheaper elsewhere.

You are in luck then :)

Dave keeps us all right, I would think you would be hard pushed to source it for much cheaper!

I only ask as I am having my OEM rear diffuser sprayed gloss black but if it doesn't turn out great I may decide to purchase the Cupra R diffuser and fit that over the OEM one...

Thanks!

Anyone know if the boot from a facelift mk2 would fit straight onto a pre-fl? i love the way the rear lights flick up and the window is wider. That'll be a good mod. I've tried searching this place but cant find an answer. Thanks in advance.

I was going to say yes you can

You CAN also replace the whole of the front end with the new one! but you will need new lights, bumper, bonnet etc

The Chassis hasnt changed underneath, like the MK4 Ibiza Facelift and Pre-facelift bumpers

You can replace the tailgate with the new one, i've seen it done ;)

Ah awesome, now that's really interesting. I was going to speak to one of the grease monkeys at my local dealer to see what they think but...i'd rather speak to you guys as im im sure some of you have seen it done, such as yourself.

That'll obviously mean you can keep the nice deep front bumper of the pre fl mk2 and the nice new taught rear end of the fl.

That's what i thought myself too, it does look slightly different, but i thought it could just be the larger window giving the impression that there are more changes than there really is.

I shall retract my statement, and stop reading as you are giving me ideas that i cant afford!
