actually i have to question further... would you not have to change, the tailgate, the rear bumper and the 4 separate rear light units, then also the side back panels so the 2 outer taillight units fit...??

we need pictures i think!

Scratch that, just put 2 pictures up side by side, the outer light units are the exact same...

I shall retract my statement, and stop reading as you are giving me ideas that i cant afford!

lol, that's an immense idea, and its got me sold...so a new boot, rear diffuser, and that cupra R spoiler on a pre fl cupra. sweet.the only thing that would be a bit of a let don is the interior...but its a small price to pay.

Going back to theTDI exhaust, am i right in thinking that not all diesels require cat converters? I dont know why but for some reason i have it in my head that diesels dont need them?

I am interested to know if the plastic insert in the middle of the rear bumper where the number plate sits on the non Cupra R's is the same as the one on the Cupra R's because when I put my painted diffuser in position, it looks to me like the insert would need cut to allow a double exit exhaust through it.

Can anyone confirm if there is a special Cupra R part number for the plastic part the number plate sits on which does not need cut or if the Cupra R comes from the factory with the same insert cut/modified to make the exhaust fit? Also, for those who have had this modification done, and those who do it, how is the exhaust fitted through this part of the bumper?

There is a left hand exit diffuser too, but its not a UK part number therefore cant be sold through a UK parts specialist like SERE.

Profiteering then. There is a part number on here for it actually, so it may be possible to get it from a stealer in Eire I guess, and the exchange is going back in the £'s favour against the Euro a bit again :)

It's a pure rip off, at that price I might as well go for the cupra r diffuser and exhaust

I've been talking to Dave @ Sere about this yesterday Al, he's struggling to get the upper gloss part of the diffuser off seat.

Go here, and there's Seat's answer to his qu's at the bottom, I'm gonna speak to him next week about it to see what I can get to make it look right.

Has someone actually got all the seat part numbers for all the bits needed:
Diffuser
Twin exit exhaust
Reduced needed for an FR CR

I'm thinking of having the diffuser and centre number plate part done in white and the exhaust tips done in black on my candy white car
