New Exhaust Power Gained :-)

Hey Guys

Had a new custom exhaust fitted on Saturday and my car all of a sudden feels and sounds insane!!! Its not loud at all, but its got this jet noise when I floor it like a awesome turbo sucking noise im addicted to giving it the beans. Its only a cat-back exhaust, but it feels so much more responsive and my boost has gone from 1.5 to 1.7psi. How much gain can you get just from an exhaust???

That sounds good, where did you get it done to?
I'm thinking about getting my exhaust done soon and as your not far from me, it might be worth me checking them out.

Prospeed in cardiff mate! Guys name there is charlie he is an awesome guy and knows alot about exhausts ive always gone there with all my cars ive had, but make sure you ask for NO silencer as he puts them in as standard. I had to take mine back and have it removed free of charge of course. I payed £328 with lifetime GT

Thats the 1 mate in my opinion he is the guy if you live in wales to go to. He is a fair bit cheaper than longlife in cardiff and always does a good job.

Ive never been to longlife for any of my cars but i did go with my friend who had his done there.
Wasnt overly impressed with them tbh.

Boy racer place longlife I always see 1.2 corsa's with huge longlife exhausts. Give charlie a ring im sure he will sort you out

Why do you welshies NEVER tell me when your going to prospeed!
I live on the same street! I could of popped over for a chat!
Charlies made the exhaust on my LCR and the one on my Ibiza Cupra.
Both have been exceptional and sound amazing under boost.

The increase in performance is normally 5-10bhp on stock and more on a remapped motor, their so free flowing. Its beautiful.

from cat back its about the response , but imo no real gains maybe 5bhp on a good day on rollers but turbo back will give you more noticeable gains

3"DP to 2.75" from where the cat 'was' Back

I wanted to go to a 3 all the way, but charlies opinion was that I would get turbo lag from a 3 so I went for a 2.75. Ive deff gained some BHP no question.

People don't come to him for Ariel Atom/Dodge Charger/Supercharged NSX's for nothing!
He knows his exhausts ... and manifolds.... and Intercoolers....

I was proud seeing my car up on the ramps because there was a nova next to mine and mine just looked the more expensive car. Then charlie put a Monaro V8 VXR next to mine It was having a full custom exhaust fitted including manifold so that would sound totally insane.
