Manuel Update

You'll need to do a manual update. In your case, given how out of date your software is, is quite a bit more involved than normal.
You'll need to perform the update in stages, a bit like building a house.

Update to 17XX, then 18XX and then the latest, which is 1988.

The manual update process is not that difficult. Finding the software might prove difficult though. Search the site for "software" and you'll find threads where people have posted links to the software. You'll need a type C USB memory stick.
