New guy looking to start some mods

Hi everyone,
Just recently joined the site and looking for some advise.
I have a 2009 leon mk2 1.9tdi, silver
Looking to do some basic mods to improve the styling of my car eg:
HID kit
Lowering springs/coilovers
Maybe looking to do a silver and black colour scheme so was wondering any opinions on what to paint black
Any other items that anyone recomends I would much appreciate it and anywhere to buy parts I've listed.

Might be worth looking into the Triple R splitter I think it's about £90... if you search for them on Facebook...

Might also be worth looking at getting a Stereo upgrade if yours is still standard I have just ordered an RCD 510 for about £130 from eBay...

Lowering springs or coilovers is a good place to start. Just go with your budget on that one. The triple R splitter is a must for these cars IMO as the nose always looks high and its a cheapish mod at £90 all in. Do the inner part of the front bumper black like the cupra models and paint the mirrors black to match. Depending on what wheels are on it a nice set of 18/19s will finish it off.

Triple R splitter wont fit unless its got FR bumpers which the 1.9TDi doesnt have. Not much you can do with the standard bumpers tbh, look in my RR as I have a 1.9TDi and done lots of work to it to get it looking they way I want. Only thing that lets it down is the engine itself

I have a set of 18"s on the car at the moment but due to kurbing i need them repairing and painting black/dark gunmetal grey

thinking of doing a lighting upgrade for the internal and number plate lights to LED's if anyone knows a good kit.

going to either get the badges black or carbon

anyone know of any good lowering springs that arent too hard on the roads?

Lighting is from PartsUlike.co.uk they do a full kit.

Best lowering springs to go for are the Eibach sportlines to give the nose down stance.

Engine covers your looking at the MK5 Golf 1.9TDi or the Audi A3 one, they should fit and can be found on ebay

i had to fit resistors to my 58 plated FR TDI

I fitted the XTEC 15LED's to my Stylance and no problem at all, guess its luck of the draw

I had a mk1 LCR splitter on my standard bumper. I think it improved the look but not everyone has the same opinion.

They're finished in matte black, require some modification to get it to fit the bumper. I think they're about £40 now from SEAT

Nope it basically just requires removing some bits that stick up on the splitter.

Just a quick update people. Got a roll of gloss black vinyl off eBay. Done the front grille and badge, wingmirror covers. Going to try the back badging tomorrow
