Getting a faclift FR next Friday & car doesn't have bluetooth which is something I want. Thinking it might be more cost effective to replace the headunit with one that has parrot bluetooth built in rather than a separate bluetooth unit.

Really looking for opinions if this is the best solution & if it is what would you recommend?

Budget £200 max , has to be able to play mp3 from usb & DAB Radio would be nice too

thats fine but i found for bout hundred more you can get it with sat nav but thats up to you, you will also need the wiring loom with remote control feature bout 30 - 40 quid as this also turns the headunit off at the ignition and still have steering controls

Thanks, was looking for a unit that did DAB as well but could only find a JVC model then I would have to buy an addon bluetooth unit, so the pioneer i linked previously is probably my best option.

If you don't want to swap the head unit, look for BlueConnect units on ebay. These are the VAG standard fit headliner-mounted bluetooth units, but much cheaper there than the dealer's price.

Don't think so. What stock headunit do you have?
I'm not sure I don't get the car until Friday. However, these are images of the dash courtesy of the Seat Used Car Website.

D'oh sorry thinking of the facelift cupra! If parrot Bluetooth is what you're after then surely you could just have a standard parrot unit installed in the gear stick area? Would keep it nicely hidden and let's you keep everything else OEM.

Only aftermarket head unit I've seen that actually looks good in the mk5 is the pioneer avh 3300 BT

The one you linked is the same unit but without Bluetooth. I'm not 100% sure on what's involved in fitting an OEM unit, I believe you will, definitely, need a new fascia and, possibly, a harness for the new unit. You will also need a wiring adaptor (pretty sure connect2 make one)

The one I linked to is "Pioneer Double-Din Bluetooth AV Player with 5.8 inch Screen, iPod/iPhone Control, Front USB and Aux-in"

So got the car today & pleased with it.

Didn't realise they had removed the usb connection :-(

So will go for a replacement headunit with bluetooth & USB

There are a lot of things they have removed !!!!!

Have you had a look to see if you have rear speakers ?
