Hi everyone,
I’m new to the forum (and honestly, new to car ownership in general), so I hope it’s okay to post here. I’ve been reading through some of the threads and can tell there are a lot of people who really know their stuff — I’d be really grateful for a bit of advice if anyone can help.
I’m 23 and recently bought my first car — a 2019 SEAT Mii — and I’ve just found out the cambelt kit and spark plugs need replacing soon. I don’t have a dad or any family members who know much about cars, so I’m learning everything from scratch and trying not to make expensive mistakes.
I’d really appreciate any recommendations for a trustworthy and honest mechanic near Cardiff who’s experienced with SEATs (or VAG group cars in general). I’d like to get the full cambelt kit and spark plugs replaced, and I’d feel more confident with someone who uses quality parts (OEM if possible) and offers some kind of warranty on the work.
If you’ve had a good experience with a local garage, or even just have advice on what to ask/look for when getting quotes, I’d be really thankful. I’m happy to travel a bit for the right garage.
Thanks so much in advance — any help is hugely appreciated!
