Just wanted to say hello and to quickly introduce myself - I am Luke, and I drive Skoda Superb mk3 and Dacia Sandero. I just placed an order on Ibiza FR Sport. In my spare time I tinker with computers and networks, and if weather allows I enjoy cycling .

Afternoon, just ordered my first Cupra (Raval VZ Extreme) in plasma iridescent, going electric, fingers crossed it turns out to be a good experience.

So today I collected my Ibiza FR Sport.

I do not know, it may be just me but somehow I have very mixed feelings after 50 miles and 10 hours of ownership...

At MSRP of over £26k you would expect simple things such as seatbelt height adjustment, boot/5th door unlocking mechanism in the cabin, ambient light being a bit more colourful than just white and red, kessy to be at least front driver/passenger side, and few other bits and bobs. Things that come as standard with Skoda Fabia Design.

I drive two cars, one being '23 Superb L&K (280) with all bells and whistles, and another one being '17 Sandero (top version BUT it is still a simple Dacia. So I can manage my expectations. But it seems that my expectations were too high. Thank goodness I did not pay MSRP price but that car seems more like £15k one, maybe £16k max...

So why I bought this car? I fell in love with its looks and its simple interior, with all the buttons and less plasticky interior when compared to Fabia Monte Carlo. It just felt more like home. I got Fabia MC on order already but brought my daughter with me to show her this car. And she would not let me to buy Fabia, so here I am .

I did 40 miles today and I have to admit - I did enjoy it. For some reason this 115HP hatch was more fun than my 280HP Superb estate.

I hope that this car will grow on me soon and I will enjoy owning it. Still I need to break-in the engine first to put all these crazy 115HP to the test.

Looks the part even if it does only have 115HP it should be nippy. I loved all my Bizas as they were a lot lighter then and with more poke than yours has, so maybe I was spoilt back then, sure it will grow on you.

I do not understand, why Fabia can have 130 with 177PS in the UK but Ibiza only comes with 115PS max... it is so strange.

I compared Ibiza with my Sandero, 90PS but weights less than 200kg than Ibiza, so weight to power ratio seems very similar but for some reason Ibiza seems nippier. Must by gear ratios as Ibiza seems to be happier in 3rd gear at sub 30mph speeds.

Cannot wait to let all these 115 crazy horses to do its job
