New Member Intro My Cupra Ateca & a Quick MIB3 Help Request!

Hi everyone,

I’ve just joined the forum and wanted to drop in and introduce myself.

I’m the proud owner of a Cupra Ateca. Absolutely loving the car so far. Unfortunately, I went for the 1.5 v1 as the sales guy told me they didn't do the 2L VZ2 in the Ateca, and I only found out when I was firmly locked into the contract. Other than that, it’s brilliant to drive and completely ticks all the boxes for me. It’s great to find a dedicated community like this with so much shared knowledge. I'm hoping to get a Cupra Terramar next, but that will have to wait for now.

I do have one quick question or bit of advice to ask the group regarding my infotainment setup. My car has the H31 hardware unit, but it's currently sitting on older 0442 factory software. It’s been acting up a bit, feeling quite laggy, and my Apple CarPlay is glitching it keeps disconnecting mid-drive. Plus, when I try to check for software updates on-screen it just loads into a completely blank menu.

Looking forward to getting involved in the threads here. Thanks in advance for any directions or help you can give!

Welcome to SCN, hope you'll find the forum useful & enjoyable.

There may be a pending baseline update for your car, where all the control units that have newer versions of their corresponding firmware would be updated to the latest one, including the infotainment unit.

Normally when you go to a dealer for a periodical service, they have to check for a pending baseline update for your VIN and inform you if there's one, and also ask you if you want to proceed with it.

That way you could get your infotainment firmware updated and probably solve the problems like lags & glitches.
