new k03s smoke...

hi everyone i fitted my k03s today all went well my old turbo had cracked and leaked coolent down the downpipe/oil
few questions
do new turbos smoke to start with till run in it was painted inside??
also the k03s seems so so loud on spoil up sounds like a jet plane is that normal?
im getting a lot of white smoke but im hoping its down to left over coolent/oil in my downpipe.

one more thing is it safe to run stage 1 map on a k03s???

white smoke = burning water, so could be water in downpipe although id have thought that would only have been for a few minutes after start up.

stage one map will be ok to drive around not under boost all the time, get it mapped asap.

its just worrying thier is a lot of smoke only when you boost some times doesent happen every time i cant work it out.

Anyone have any advice? Im trying for oil in my intercooler also my carbon canister isn't attached or dv problem....

yer im running a can have been for a month before the new turbo my old turbo had blown but thier was no oil in the down pipe. im really at a loose end.
its chucking out a lot of white/blue smoke only done 120miles on the turbo also checked it this morning it spins fine with no play.

only thing i can think is my dv has broken
or it needs a remap to stage 2.
anyone any more ideas im really worrying.

The map wouldn't cause it to smoke , is the ko3s new or used?

Are you sure the turbo is at fault? If the turbo iS fecked it would smoke all the time . Have you thought about valve stem seals that would cause the smoke

the turbo isent at fault this is what im worrying about im hoping it will just go away i got the gargage to look in the head when mani was off and he said it has dry valves also had a compression test that passed.
would a sketch maf or dv make it smoke??

Im guessing your turbo probaly sounds alot louder than the previous old KO3 turbo because its a unsilenced KO3S unit.

yer course it is im not worryed about the sound too much its the huge cloud of blue/white smoke it chucks out.

I would say if your dv is shot it's probably not helping things depends if it's open or closed really
