Hi

Had the leon for nearly a year but just started using this forum.

Have a 2.0tfsi seat leon FR in black with DSG. Bought the car with a half arsed k04 conversion so im in the process of finishing that off. It had the decat exhaust and ramair and the turbo (so all the air related stuff) but none of the fuel related stuff. So I put some injectors in, cleaned the valves, put a few sensors in etc and sent the ECU to R-tech for a base map. So thats where Im at!

Currently chasing an oil leak.

Tom

Also, does anyone know what post count I have to reach before I can post a WANTED add?

Welcome and you have not yet told us about how the oil leak is going or what tyres or splitters or other plans for the future (one post at a time please)

And Cupra14 What car do you have and some details (again one at a time)

The clue's in the name ... 2014 Cupra :)

More in my intro. Oh, can't post a link even to this site. Pah. Well, here's a version www dot seatcupra dot net /forums/showthread.php?t=440281

Have now picked it up.

In case you happen to know the details of the DSG please say. I know it's a 6-speed "wet" one and seems nicknamed DQ250 but there must be more info...

I gather the engine is CJXA (a variant of EA888). The codes on the service booklet are - er - confusing/unhelpful.

Thanks for the welcome!

Well TBH i'm not yet sure where the oil leak is coming from! I dont even know what oil it is - engine oil or DSG fluid. Im in the process of investigating!

At the moment it is on semi slick Pilot Sport Cup 2s which are semi slick. I cant afford to replace them with the same (nearly £200 a tyre!) when the time comes so Il just put some Pilot sport 4s on.

I think im going to ask the girlfriend for a TRC rear diffuser and cupra splitter for chrismtas. No real plans for the exterior of the car - going to focus on the engine and handling for the time being.

Spec is:
Leon FR DSG 2008
K04 turbo
K04 injectors
RS4 Fuel Pressure Release Valve
200 bar Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor
3 bar MAP sensor
Blueflame decat turbo back exhaust
Ram air cold air intake
Aftermarket large intercooler
HPFP re-built VIS stage 1 internals
NGK BKR7EIX spark plugs
Genuine R8 coil packs
Air-con delete
KW coilovers
Eibach anti roll bars front & back
Sparco sprint seats
Willians 5 point harness
BBS CH025 18"

Yep you can post pictures and hyperlinks now, enjoy and put up pics as and when.

I have the pilot sport 4s on the front and they are a very good tyre, cured most of the wheel hop on my MK3 and give good wet handling.

Cupra yes I did understand what you had but to get your 15 post's up you can just put in some one liners....

Anyway I have a 2014 Cupra with engine code CJXA granted its at stage 1 now but a very nice engine giving you lots of power. With regards to the DSG box I love it because on my car its very smooth and allows me eco, sport, cupra (which just seems to keep the revs up) as well as Manual via gearstick or flappy things.

Generally the 6 Speed is better (before the upgrade) as it can take more torque, the 7 Speed is lower Spec on Torque and the Manual will burn through clutches even with Stage 1.

I think (and it will be on this site somewhere) they need a service at 40k which includes oil change from memory.

What info are you after, https://www.autoevolution.com/news/volkswagen-group-s-dsg-gearbox-explained-88928.html gives some stuff.

Have you also looked at OBD11, As this allows you to change stuff on the car as well as running diags.
Lastly if you look in the boot by the spare wheel you will see a sticker with all the extra's your car came with (they are just codes but can be easily converted into details (if you cant find a site just let me know the codes and I will put it in OBD11)

Enjoy the car and keep posting, you only need 15 from memory.

Yeah ive bought a anti lift kit which i think should do a lot.

Doesnt the mk3 come with a LSD? You should be able to put the power down very well!

I still can't post my wanted add. Thiink its because of my "Newbie" status. Hopefully that will get revoked soon and you lot can sell me some stuff

Yes the MK3 Has lots of good stuff to keep the car in a good place but good rubber along with other stuff is key to stopping bounce. As with all Seats you just spend money to make a good car great :)
