Hi

I am about to pick up my car tomorrow, standard LCR.

I am going to get some basic service materials for it to give it a refresh. I have seen some of the oil recommendations but dont really understand what this means

Leon 1.8VT Cupra R 2000-2005. (225HP) (AMK, BAM) KO4

Engine: 504.00.
Gearbox: VW G51 - 75W.
Brake/Clutch: DOT 4.
Steering: VW G 002 000.
Cooling: VW G12 TL 774-D.

What do I need to look for when I go and purchase/search for?

Anything else I should treat it too in my first month?

Hi mates those are the codes and Specifications for the oil, the first one means when you buy the Oil it needs to have been certified for VAG 504.00.
Most People use Castrol EDGE 5W-30.
The Second is the Gearboix Oil, you best bet is going to stealers and buy from there, its not to deer.
The rest are also oil codes/Specs.

There is a sticky guide with things to look out for when buying these, if/when you get it do the usual bits.

Oil, Oil Filter, Air Filter (or buy a JR one from part-box if you want the dump valve noise http://www.part-box.com/product_info.php?products_id=71113 )

Maybe some spark plugs, Gearbox oil if you feel like it, the usual bits.

Need a bit of help with a few things

I need to get myself a new nipple that the parcel shelf plugs into, anyone know where I can get one?

How do I get the jack covers off to get them resprayed as they look a bit tired

What's the best way to repair stone chips? Is it chipex?

Will probably have other questions as I find things:)

the nipple i would suggests a scrappy or someone on ebay thats breaking one.
As a suggestion i would make sure the door seals are intact one of the common problems with the leon is they go and then soak the footwells inside. If youre up for it it reseal them with butyl rubber strip.
