new seat altea got a hesitation

hi guy and girls ive just bought a seat altea 56 plate and its got 200 mile on now but its got a hesitation on the engine has any one else got this problem and what can i do about it ive had it back to seat and they say no faults show up well im sick now and dont know what to do can anyone out there help me cheers hannie p.s its a 1.9 tdi 105 p/s model

there is a thread on the forum somewhere. i think they were saying its to do with the software map on the car. a revised map is available from seat (i think) but check the thread. so you are not the only one and its fixable.

Hi Hannie i can't say i have that problem but i have had other problems
with Altea if you are getting no joy from the dealer get in touch with SEAT UK
and tell them about the problem and how the dealer as been no help??.I told
SEAT uk .All i can say is all is fine now (just keep on at them) .If the car is new tell
them you want your money back if they can't fix it.

Don't be dismayed there is a known problem with hesitatation/poor idling across the entire range of VAG 2.0TDI's. My boss has just had his Passat done for the same problem.

i had one as a coutresty car and when in a high gear at lower revs i put my footdown and it rattled clanged and shook the whole car not sure if its related or not

yer m8 that right it a bloody pain in the arse wish id read all these forums before i bought it

I have this sort of problem too. If i keep the revs higher though, It does'nt happen as much.
