ill have to have a read of the manual then, sounds like a plan
I bet that if most people on here read the manual (or at least flicked through it) they would find something out about the car they didn't know, and possibly answer they're own questions.
I always refer to it if i'm not sure.

I say 'buy the magnets'. you never know, it might handle better when going over metal bridges as well, they'll SUCK you to the road making them good in a strong crosswind........and if you believe that, then you really had better buy the magnets.

As for peak torque, most manufacturers tune their cars to attain peak economic performance around 56-60 miles per hour (does that sound like 2k rpm or their abouts by chance?)

Funny, never seen an advert for a car in which it tells you about fuel economy ever mentioning the gear you should be in, maybe you have to be REAL smart like and presume top gear, so if your driving a banger then maybe 4th, then it could be 5th or for me 6th.
