Hi folks,

I have been lurking for a while and finally received my MY19 Cupra ST DSG 4drive just before Xmas, it’s booked for an APR stage 1 map and DSG map on the 8th of January.

Hoping for around a safe 370bhp and 365torque, car will be the wife’s daily and my track car this year.

My best mate had a stage 2 Golf R and it blew me away for day to day use and performance, the Aston was sold and deposit put on a Cupra in Feb. 10 months later I have the car and love it. Best thing without a doubt is the dsg 7 speed box, used with the paddles it is on a diff level, launch control is a nice touch.

Gotta say that the dealership/salesman were clueless, they had no idea of the difference between a MY 18/19, launch control function or how the lap timer worked(important to me)

Does anyone know if the lap timer sets up automatically at each track with the beacon if it has to be set up manually?

Hi Elreg welcome to the club,

On a housekeeping front we generally encourage people not to show there number plate on pics as we have seen examples of cars being cloned,

We also have a few guys on here that do trackdays and they post details here

Nice car does the 300 have the new particulate filter (like the 290 does) and if so has that made any difference to the APR Map do you know

I am afraid generally Seat Dealers are not the best at knowing the cars, there are many exceptions but we have seen it a lot when guys take the DSG and on the FWD Cars the LSD in for servicing - they dont seem to have come across it. Anyway Enjoy the car and dont forget to give it back to the Mrs.

Thanks guys, unsure about the particulate filter but I will find out from the guys at Ecotune on the 8th when it goes to them.

It will have the GPF if it has the 7 speed as any cars from October onwards needed them.

The last Cupra to not have the GPF was the Carbon Edition.
