Hello everyone, we have just bought a new Born V1 79kwh from stock, just waiting for the new '26' registrations before collection. We think we got a good deal but hadn't realised a new version was coming out in March, but the car was only £25166 plus a free £500 charging card. With the 100% write down in year one if you are a sole trader or business owner, these seem to be a good deal. We have sold our ID.3 to a family member and it appears from everyones comments on here the born is going to be a little more engaging and the bigger battery over our 58kwh ID.3 will hopefully give us more flexibility.

We had to have the car in Vapour Grey, not my first choice as the White looks great in pictures; what do people think of the Grey with the 20" wheels?

I think the Born is a far nicer looking car than the ID.3 - the Born’s ‘face’ is a much better, more successful design IMHO - and I do quite like Vapour Grey. Looking at various images of Vapour Grey Borns, the colour does look quite different in brighter lighting conditions than it does in dull lighting conditions, although that could probably be said for many other car paint colours too (white or black being possible exceptions). Vapour Grey should also ‘hide’ dirt much better than white would.

I think the 20” alloys suit the Born well. Which of the two available versions will your car have? - are they the standard five spoke Hurricane alloys or the extra cost optional Firestorm? The five spoke Hurricanes will be very easy to clean but I’d have to also make sure the wheel barrels were kept clean as they’re very visible between the spokes.

Enjoy your new car when you get it 🙂.

Thanks we are looking forward to seeing the colour in the flesh as we bought it over the phone. Its on the standard Hurricane alloys, I do hope it rides well on these massive wheels!

Welcome to the Forum, look forward to seeing some pics of the new one.

Finally collected! 2026 Cupra Born 79kwh V1. What a difference from a 2022 ID.3 Pro Prrformance Family, the screen, the seats and the suspension feels miles different. Missing the pan roof but this was cheaper than the ID.3 was 6 months old. Amazed.
