Quite impressive statistics there, however Im sure that the webmasters on SCN probably already know this!

That would be why we get spammed almost every day with advertising requests.

However SCN has never been about profiteering, it's just our hobby and we've no wish to make money off of it.

Our sponsors help the site pay the bills with good value advertising and that helps us keep the lights on without dipping in our own pockets to do so.

As I've said the day SCN doesn't pay for itself is the day it gets switched off, however can't see that happening for some time.

amount of views your site gets a day x's $0.003
so i would presume theres like an advertising agency that will pay you per person who visits and see's the advertisment!

or if you had google adsense where they "pay per click" so if every user who visited the site was atracted to click onto the advert you would make the $0.003 dollars per click

so maybe the assumption is "if everyone was to click" then

You may not click the ads, but the halo effect of the whole site means that people don't really need to for the sponsors to get noticed. They are obviously receiving a lot of interest regardless, based on the amount of repeat sponsorship we get.

But ad-click revenue is not of any real importance to SCN, our sponsors all contribute a small annual amount to cover the sites costs. We make nothing out of it, nor do we want to.

The amount of ad-based requests we get every week, we could fill the site with advertisers, but we prefer sticking to our core interest areas and more importantly we strike a happy balance by not accepting every company that shows an interest.

It really isn't a money spinner....it pays for itself or it ceases to exist!
