helklo all i have just bought a leon tdi 150 and when pressing the aircon button on the climate control nothing happens. the sign doesnt come on on the screen and the fans dont start.ive checked the fuse in the drivers side of the dash and it ok..what else could it be?

well it was hotter than 5 yesterday. when i press the aircon button i dont get the snow flake or auto. when i press it the blower seems to slow down then speed up again but isnt any colder and the snowflake doesnt come on

try the front window demist button (from memory its one of the left side buttons) this should try and use the airconditioning. this way you'll know whether its the system or just your snowflake air con button

EDIT: its the top button on the LEFT above the auto button

sorry didn't know where you were based so did info on non uk as a precaution
good thought volvic.

as a thought ignore the snowflake, if set temp to hi doe sit get hot and can you manually adjust fan speed (it does alter itself as well even when in non-auto mode)
and if set to lo does it get cold?

would say no gas

could also be one of the fuses in the engine bay. (usually on top of the battery).

A good while back my air con was gone and when I checked these
one of them had melted into two non-recognizable parts and had melted the plastic around it...

When I put a new one in the air-con started working again.
Figured it was due to a faulty earth but it never happened again so not sure.

If its not that then, as above, the air-con could just needs new gas...

That fuse in the engine bay is for the fans and as coolypops has said - its in the engine bay on top of the battery. Without the fans the a/c will not function.

checked the fuses and still nothing any other ideas anyone???????

where abouts in the engine bay i the wiring loom for the aircon?
