No Boost and a flutter with a Split R

Help please.

2005 LCR

When cold, no boost ( boost gauge fitted ) and it flutters when you lift off, after about 10 minutes driving, the boost returns and the flutter goes..

VAG COM shows no faults.

Split R fitted.

Any suggestions. ?

Sticking valve?

Try swapping it for your 007 /original to see what happens...

Phil I will see if I can find my original OEM valve and as I said last night I will swap it out for you at Thruxton.

If that cures it we can then service you split R valve.

Oh by the way I need copious amounts of beer when I’m working on other peoples cars.

Hmmmmm if i knew that id actually know what im talking about, Unfortunatly i didnt install it, but i know for sure its no where near the FPR, its a very discreet install done by JBS.

If they have taken the feed for the boost gauge of the top of the Splt-R this will cause you problems.
Have you tryed turning the top a couple of clicks ???

I had a prob like this.

My boost was fine just the split r fluttering all the time! No matter what I did with the valve (tighten/loosen) it just kept happening.

Sent it back to Forge on Mon and got my replacement 007p today.

Very, very, very happy!

could it be a n249 problem..

try bypassing the n249 for a day. the n49 can regulate the boost/splt R

Had the boost gauge fitted for nearly 4 years, split r for 18 months, problem has only just started happening.
