No heat brrrrr

ok get in the car today and no heat at all coming from the vents , any ideas guys ?

its all working fine just no heat

cheers mate , the coolant level is all ok going to have to investigate more saturday and just freeze my off

i know this might soound a bit coincidental but i had my cousin run a dygnostic on it yesturday no way something could of been knocked or anything is there ?

Maybe the resistor thing thats behind the glovebox/airbag is completely knackered? Or a loose wire behind the instrument bit?

I know when it goes only fan speed No.4 works.

not the resistor if the fans working Craigy... Kezz, my money's edging more towards a blockage, give the matrix a blast with a hose, make sure you find out the right input / output?...

yup check input and ouput pipes, may well be the control valve is disconected or defective.

Sorry to hijack your thread slightly Kezz, but my mate has a Corsa C, and there was a bleeding valve on the bottom of his radiator. I've just put a new metal pipe into mine, a full flush and fresh coolant. The heaters aren't as good now though, so I have an air block somewhere around the matrix?... Any help on that? I can't seem to find any bleeding taps anywhere?

well for once it was a simple fix my water bottle was a tad empty topped it up and i have heat

Precisely! Unless (given that Kezz has recently replaced her expansion tank to a metal one) there was an airlock somewhere, and then it dropped after sorting itself out, like mine did...?

well if i me honest i didnt check it after the new tank was fitted so more than likley a airlock, but i will be checking it more often from now

turn the heater to hot sorry couldn't resist

the cables have a habit of popping out at the back of the heater dials so check they are actually moving the flaps, usually hear a dull thump in the dash as it opens/closes when you spin it
