No whistle left for my turbo :-(

Now i dont know if its me but i bought this car three weeks ago. I love the sound of a turbo sucking in the air and doing whatever it seems to do, but i have a slight issue.

Ive not lost any power ( thank god ) but the turbo doesnt seem to be as loud as before ( as in sucking air in....with that whistle noise u get ) first gear, u can barely hear it, but the rest are pretty fine. Could anyone maybe explain what this could be?

Sorry if this isn't explained in the most understandable way but its the only way i can put it across.

Probably just got used to it mate! Sometimes hear it better, say if you are driving next to a wall or something, or in a multi storey?

If you still have boost it must be working - sounds like you bing paraniod!

try fitting a intercooler to throttle body hose, see that it doesn't fit "think you've tightened up all the clamps - only to find then you boot it, it pops off while on the motorway and end up doing 30 all the way to the next junction -

you dohnut didnt tighten them up enough what sre wegoing todo with our hoses!!

Some chavs could have come and nicked your turbo's whistle whilst your were'nt looking!

yea, possibly! theres a few int village..........maybe they've got it in their hoody, making their head look even bigger!
