Noise from engine when car in reverse

Hi guys,

Today having the car in idle I put reverse and I started releasing the clutch without touching the accelerator. Suddenly a noise started coming from the engine and is was getting louder if I pressed the clutch. Then after a few seconds the engine turned off and the battery light was up!!!
After that I started the car again and it didnt have any noises/problems.

Any ideas?

Ps. The car is a cupra II with 670 km on.
