noisy climate control

Hey everyone, ive got a really annoying fault. Firstly my climate control works fine, Through the full range of temperatures and it adjusts the blowers when in needs too. However after about 40-50 minutes of driving a very annoying buzzin/rattling starts emitting from the unit itself? And no matter what you do when the engines running the noise is there even if you turn it off? However when you switch the engine off the noise continues but if you then turn the unit off it stops? The only other symptom is when goin round a long sweeping corner or roundabout, when the car is slighltly rolling the noise stops then when car levels out again it re starts. Any ideas guys??????

There is a cabin temperature sensor fitted just above the Climatronic unit. It uses a small fan to draw air in from the dash area through the grid of tiny holes in the narrow black panel above the display screen. From what you describe, this fan may be choked with dust or may just be wearing out. Just a guess, but it fits the symptoms you describe
