noisy gear change

hello all when i go from 1st to 2nd i have a bad grinding noise doesnt happen all the time but is quite often my other gears are fine had it to seat for last service told them and they said couldnt find enything wrong but is still happening due another service now will fetch it up again any ideas everyone cheers

Move the drivers seat forwards so that the clutch can be pushed ALL the way to the floor.

Make sure that you're not banging through the gears like an animal and If it still does it, you have a gearbox problem, probably a Synchromesh.
