Noisy window!

Hmmm....everytime I try to put my front window up in my Altea, it makes a noise like it is squealing. It doesn't do it when it's going down so much and it's not as bad if it is raining. Sounds like it's going to crack! Any ideas please????

probably there is grit/dirt in the window runners or the outside weather strip

So how do I sort it? I'm not the most car minded person in the world! Ta!

the best thing to do is to wind the window down and clean the runners with a slightly damp toothbrush, once dry apply a thin covering of silicone grease with a small kids paintbrush and wind the window up and down a couple of times and that should cure the problem.
a quick google search for silicone grease will give you more info but its easy to find in most diy or motor stores
