Metal reflecting surfaces in insulation are usually for reflecting heat.

So it probably makes no difference how you install it in your boot.

A friend installed Dynaat in his car and the "heavy" bitumen staff was under and the shiny metallic layer was up.
 
Seen a couple of threads on here suggesting there's an update for the DSG box which stops it changing up at such low speeds. Anyone got any experience of this?

Also seen it mentioned that soundproofing the wheel arches produces the biggest reduction in noise. Anyone got any experience of doing this? The boot seems really straightforward.
