Went into the stealers yesterday , the guy came out to see it and straight away said that i have caused the damage , or the wind must have caught the door , or its been opened too far.
Tbh i knew this is what they would say.

so will see what happens will keep you informed.

can you see sign's of it slipping down considering it's been 'adjusted' recently ?

warranty i'd go with - a fault has caused the door to drop which has damaged the car .... to me its a warranty claim

i wouldn't have thought Warranty would have paid for it?? the words ''non Manufacturing defect'' comes to mind. Always an interesting paraphrase.:cartman:

They'l do anything to get out of paying. If it comes up that many others have been affected by the same issue then you'l have good base for a claim. It maybe worth finding out how many people its affected then go back armed with facts and figures.. if no joy take it further.

It's not a warranty issue. It's the fact they have poorly adjusted the door on your vehicle, simple as. You specifically asked them to look at an issue and they made it worse. Just got to think about how you're going to prove it.... If they keep refusing to do anything about it, you should take advice because it's replacement wing + respray by the looks of it. Don't take it lying down.

the hard part would be proving the issues were caused by them.:shrug:

i got my car back yesterday and they are rubbing their hands of it [:@]
they said they would put a claim in for a warranty claim which funnily enough was turned down , what a surprise !

the garage have given me 3 different reasons to why it happened
1 i did the damage
2 the wind did the damage
3 there has been impact on the wing to make it happen.

when i was showing them my car i opened the door the mecahnic looked at it then stood up and leaned on the end of my door to talk to me , wtf i said dont lean my car ! :censored:

all are utter crap.
my hinge is slightly bent , thats because my door has hit the wing , they say thye bent hinge has been done before that happened. and its even more bent now because when they had my car they kept moving it around the garage , i kept getting in and out of the passenger door to keep the damage to a minimum maybe thinking the wing could be straightened out ?
no chance now. :censored:

took it to get a qoute for repair today , need a new wing and hinge and paint about £500
i asked the body shop guy how the damage would have happened , he said that its not wind damage because the damage is not consisitent witht hat type of accident , there was no impact damage any where so he ruled that out , then he slowly shut my door and the whole thing is twisted and out of alignment [:@].

so this garage will be doing the work and the dealership where it happened will be having the bill sent there with a covering letter and if i have to will get legals involved.
i am not giving up , i know its down to me to prove it and prove it i will.

i would not use this dealership again if all the servicing was free !

What a load of bollocks!!! [:@]
Did it say anything on the original invoice that they checked the door alignment or anything?

I would defo chase them on this one. How the hell can they just say it was nothing to do with them? Tossers! :banned:

Have you called the main Seat customer services number and explained it to them, rather than just your local dealer? They may be able to help you out here.

Don't give up until you get the money back. This is disgraceful from the dealer. I'd be livid, which I can see you are and you have every right to be.

I feel for you m8. I would agree with Rich in that the most valuable thing you could have at the moment (particularly if you go down the legal route) is a document that states they did something (anything) to the door in question before the damage occured.

not sure tbh if i have anythung in writing but sure its on their computer system, was definatly done as part of my last service.
spoke to seat customer care sorry customer dont care , its not a manufacturing fault so cant claim , funnily enough i never said or implied it was

the dealer is not helping the situation at all , they didnt even offer to re align my door so the damage didnt happen again , thats how crap they are !

dont know whether i can name or shame them but i would certainly not use them again ever !.

new wing, paint and hinge shouldnt cost 500 mate, would have thought 250 to 300 notes at most. The wing is only 85 quid, and the hinges arent dear either.
