not starting !!

ok,, trying to start the car will do nothing at all. just like i am not doing sh** .

after several tries , it just goes on.

i mean when i swith the key to start nothing happens. just the ignition is on and nothing is moving.

any clue?

do all the lights dim and the clocks fade when you turn the key?
In which case the battery is dead.

If thebattery is fine, id next look at the starter motor... there is a way to bridge the battery to test if it works.

then id look at the ignition barrel

If its the starter motor, ive heard you can still start the car by giving the solenoid a bit of a banging.
