I'm in the same boat..

I've just found out that i have a forge RS valve on mine

how do i know what boost i am running!? whats std and how should it be set.. as far as i know it's std apart from that!

04' LCR 225 btw.

You have an LCR right? 225 should be about 10 - 12 psi which is about 0.8 bar max. The best way to measure it accurately is with VAG-COM on a power run. You can then plot a graph to show the peak and when it is in the rev range.
