I have recently noticed on a couple of occasions a loud one off high pitched crashing sound when window is down.
It happened a couple of weeks ago whilst driving and then last night I stopped to talk to somebody and when i set off a slow speed moving from 1st to 2nd gear with window down it did it again. hard to describe but a high pitch cracking one off sound/almost like smashing glass appearing to come from rear. Quite a piercing one off sound lasts about a second.
I don't have window down much and no noise is evident when windows are up.
car seems to be running fine otherwise only about 10 months old with 8,000 miles.
anybody have thoughts/experience of this random noise.?
