oil consumption

Hi my leon cupra 1.9tdi has done 47.000 miles on an 04 reg with full seat service history what should the oil consumption be some times it seems to smoke now and again only when cold at 47.000 valve seals or piston ring should not be a problem i have also got a water leak in the passengers foot well the car has had a new seal fitted around the door aperture still leaks any ideas.

What oil consumption issues do you have? There's no rule as to what useage is excessive really. Some use none at all, others use 0.5ltr between services, still more use upwards of that.

Not aware of any oil consumption issues with the PD150. I do not haveto add to mine in between servies and I'm sure that those that may use a little its minimal. Your smoke is probably soot.

And is for the wet footwell use the search as Viking suggests. A common problem apparently. Again no issues here.

For the leak look at the pollen filter and the seal on its housing. They get glogged up an water gets into the footwell
