What car have you got ?

I think the PD130/160 engines have oil coolers anyway (coolant-based ones). Think that's what the cube shaped thing is under the oil filter housing.

It's a TDI 130.

I don't know what you refer to, but for some more amount of power, a oil cooler its needed .

Cheers

no need for an oil cooler. Although one thing that would be good if you were using a tdi for track use would be a Charge cooler

Hot weather over here, so oil-cooler is a must. :)

Fuel & oil cooler from Serck Services Motorsports on its way. :)

Cheers

I remember when I was driving my Ibiza (remapped PD130) down through France a few summers ago, my oil temps did start getting very high after a prolonged run (I had an '03 Ibiza with the additional oil temp gauge).

I can see if you're living in a hot climate, running higher outputs and using the power, it might be a sensible idea.
I also remember Paulo (prc on here) talking about fuel coolers too, have a search you will probably find his posts.

I think he even wrote a guide on fuel coolers, if I remember correctly there were a couple of different positions in the fuel system you could place the cooler.
prc hasn't been on here for ages but I think he used to have a link to his fuel cooler info in his sig.
