Oil Temperature Sensor/Gauge

Afternoon all, this may be aimed at those who have done mad mods, but i want to fit my Spa Design garage which is combined boost and oil temp.
This was fairly straightforward on my MK1 20VT (small blanking plug on oil filter/cooler housing) but my MY07 Cupra does not have somewhere that I can easily put the oil temp sensor, and the BWJ engines didn't come with the sump mounted level/temp sensor, at least the ones with fixed service intervals didn't.

So my question is, if you've fitted an oil temp gauge, where did you put the sensor?
@Jairm88

Thanks for assistance.

Fit an oil filter sandwich plate and connect the sensor to there, ideally you want oil pressure over oil temp but that would involve buying another gauge.

Thanks for you reply.

I like to know what the oil temp is, as the car was never equipped with that, so I know it's safe to use boost.

On the TFSI oil filters, I'm not sure how you'd put a sandwich plate in there, due to the way the filter is designed within the plastic casing.
