Well my best friend got himself a brand new Seat Leon Cupra R in platinum grey. Its superb car as many of you know and we thought we take a long evening drive to clock up some miles so it can be run in. I am getting my FR TDI next month i hope.
Yesterday evening on our travel's in and around the Essex rural area's (some nice long roads, some nice short and bendy ones too) we decided how about we go to Southend. We had heard that "there are lots of nice cars at the seafront" story hence we decided to check out. We got there and oh my god i have never see so many crap stupidly kitted up cars in my life. People down that way literally have no clue as to what a good car is. We have have seen around 5-6 cars that were of any decent state. Saw two yellow ibiza cupra's, few Evo's and few Civic Type R's, the rest were, well, chavved up Ford Fiesta's with "22'" chromes". Never seen so much money spent on poor cars. We were the only Seat Leon there and the look on everyones faces and, stares we got because they have never seen such a nice car before or an LCR (bare in mind there must have been around 200+ cars there).
Anyway we went away in shock and laughter, moral of the story is - the Leon must be the best kept secret (in Essex anyway).
