Optimum RPM for a FR TDI

Hi,

I’ve gone from a petrol Mini to a Leon FR TDI.

Just wondering what the best RPM range is for best fuel economy?

Around 2k revs is the optimum for a 4 pot diesel

The optimum is where the engine develops the max torque, this should be in the owners book but it is going to be around 2k mark.

Yep - 2000rpm is definitely the sweet spot on these engines

I would agree, just under 2k for best miles per gallon, just over for best smiles per gallon
