Options For An Engine Transplant

I have a MK3 Cordoba Coupe 1.6.
What engines could I drop into her for more power.

I presume a engine from a ibiza cupra would fit straight in?

Icecavern / Pete, was recently seeling a VR6 lump, loom and most of the bits needed for a VR6 transplant.........may be sold now tho

The thing is Im living in Ireland and cupras are very rare over here. Is a 1.8t engine easy to come by in England and how much would the transplant cost?

alot if you aint doing the job yourself...looking at anything from £500-1000 just for the lump. suspect labour fees would be pretty similar

if your in a position to do the conversion your self, it would be a pretty hefty power hike for the money

but maybe even consider a 2.0 8v or the 16v? them you could pick up alot cheaper and i have an Ibiza 1.8T 20v and a cordoba 2.0 8v and believe me standard vs standard there aint much in it. modified though the turbo wins hands down
