Sorry to repeat this information if it is already on the Forum, I have had a search but could not find any reference so thought I would add it....

If you need to diagnose any problems with the climate control system it is possible by accessing the on-board diagnostic codes using the following key combination. You can also display a lot of interesting values live to your Climate control LCD display such as engine RPM, Coolant temp, Internal Temperature etc.

Most of the readings are only useful if your trying to debug a problem.

Accessing On-Board Diagnostic codes
Press and hold the recirculation button. Then press the manual flow control up arrow. You should see a 1c. Press the temperature up ("+") or down ("-") buttons to select a code number. Then press the recirculation button again. The value should display. Press the temperature up or down button again to display another code.

When you want to return to normal operation press and hold the recirculation button again.

I found also the codes, they are the same for all vw/audi/skoda/seat with little changes. in the list i have for a toledo on 27 says "engine speed" and on 28 is "generator number of revolutions". One that i find interesting is 17 "driving speed".

Does anyone knows if there is a possibility, any code or something, to be able to visualize average fuel consumption for example or all other information provided by the onboard comnputer? When I bought my 20VT 4, in feb. 2001, it was not fitted with onboard computer. actually what is missing is only the display and the command on the wipers lever.
